
Brooke Evans
Brooke Chapman Evans is a founding partner of Evans & Turnblad, LLC. Her practice is focused entirely on family law. Brooke was raised in Florence, South Carolina, where she graduated from South Florence High School. Brooke attended the College of Charleston and graduated with honors in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 2003. Upon graduating with honors from USC, Brooke served as Circuit Court law clerk.
After completing her clerkship, Brooke entered private practice in Greenville until returning home to Florence in 2011. Brooke is the past president of the Florence County Bar Association, a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, and a Master of the Bench in the Pee Dee Inn of Court Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Additionally, Brooke is a member of the Family Law Section Council and a member of the Commission on Lawyer Conduct.
Brooke was recently accepted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a prestigious honor recognizing her years of dedication and professionalism in the practice of family law. The AAML is a national organization composed of the leading family law attorneys across the country, with fewer than 1,500 Fellows nationwide and only 22 in South Carolina. Fellowship in the Academy is reserved for attorneys who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity, skill, and professionalism in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, support, and property division.
This achievement represents a significant milestone in Brooke’s career, one she has worked toward for many years. As an AAML Fellow, Brooke joins a distinguished group of attorneys who set the standard for the matrimonial bar and help advance the quality of family law practice throughout the nation.
When not fighting for her clients, Brooke enjoys yoga, golf, and spending time with her family and any one of her many pets.
